WHEN HE TAKES THE WHEEL

I had this argument with someone few days ago, he said,"Trust in yourself as much as you trust in God" and i objected immediately, i said,"You trust in God more than you trust in yourself" i felt that was the right thing he would have said, but then it became clear to me that there are no second positions, you either give him the wheel or you ride it yourself, the truth is trusting in God is all you have to do, Proverbs 3:5-6 says,"5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,And He shall direct[a] your paths."

My pastor would say,"once you acknowledged God as your driver, things begin to work easily for you". Read: Acknowledge God as your driver . So what happens when He takes the wheel ?

Peace
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God.” (NKJV) I don’t know about you, but I have never had any success trying to boss someone around while attempting to trust them simultaneously. Trying to be in control and relinquishing control at the same time just doesn't work; they can’t co-exist inside the same heart. When we let God drive our lives and trust that He knows best, we are able to rest and "stay still", which means that we will ultimately experience peace. You can’t hold the steering wheel and let God drive at the same time if you want to experience the peace that comes from trusting Him. Nope, you've got to let go of the wheel, Dear.

Rest
When you trust and decide that you will let God drive, there is a natural rest that will occur. Imagine a woman who is trying to wrestle the driver’s wheel away from her husband. Now imagine a woman who is sitting in the passenger’s seat allowing her husband to drive without complaining, correcting or Shouting at him. Which one do you think is experiencing rest? The one who trusts and is sitting in the passenger’s seat, of course. She is not thinking about how her husband will get her where she needs to go. She is just relaxing and resting while she is enjoying the ride. But, the other woman doesn't have time to enjoy a thing because she is too busy trying to be in control. But if she would only choose to trust, she could rest, too. Which woman will you be like?

Contentment
There are a lot of things that I like to do, but there are some that I don’t. I don’t like to stay in a building site all day screeding; I don’t like to stay up for days without sleep, and I don’t like to read books about Chemistry. Why? Because God didn't design me for screeding houses, foregoing sleep and reading books that make my brain feel like it’s been put in a hot pot. And because God didn't design me for these things, if I did them, they would make me feel exhausted, fatigued and lifeless. When we try and take the wheel away from God because we don’t trust Him, it will lead to emotional and spiritual fatigue. Why? Because we’re doing something that we weren't created for. God made us to lean on Him in dependence—to let Him drive—which leads to contentment, and the confidence that we are exactly where we need to be, doing what we need to do, and fulfilling the role He created us for. This will usher in deep contentment.

Communication
Have you noticed that it’s difficult to effectively communicate with someone that you don’t trust? When you are trying to take the wheel from God, it’s a for sure thing that you won’t be talking to Him the way you would if you were letting Him drive. Again, imagine the woman who is trying to take the wheel from her husband. Imagine what she is saying. The words coming out of her mouth aren’t nice, are they? They aren't edifying. They’re just plain mean. She’s loud. She’s bossy. Now imagine the woman who is resting in the passenger’s seat. It’s like she has honey in her mouth. Her words are sweet. Because she is relaxed and she doesn't feel threatened, she is kind. She just chatting away with her husband like everything is perfect. When you’re trying to take the wheel from God, your communication with Him will be hindered. Words of gratitude will be replaced by complaining, and praise will be ruined by criticism. You will find that you won’t be able to communicate with God easily because you’ll be thinking that He should be driving you better or somewhere else.

Love
You will also only love God as much as you trust Him. As you drive along your journey in life, you’ll find that confidence in God’s love is always coupled with trust. As I said, this means letting Him drive. When love and trust are combined, they are a match to faith. They will set your confidence on fire so that you can ride anywhere that God is taking you without fear.

Are you convinced that allowing God to drive is best? If so, I challenge you to let God take the wheel. i know, this can be hard, especially when life is tough and you’re not sure where the road may lead. However, moment by moment, if you choose to trust Him; if you let go, you’ll find peace, rest, contentment, communication and love filling you up. You’ll also stay out of the emotional and spiritual struggle in your relationship with God—and you’ll get to sit in the passenger’s seat and enjoy the ride. Could there be anything better?

THE POWER OF AN APOLOGY

Many times we find it very difficult to apologize to people, we tend to feel it’s not really important and that it’s just a matter of time before the case (our fault) goes down and everything will go back to normal, but that’s not true, there is more to apology than just settling arguments.
A simple, “am sorry” could heal. There was this day I had an argument with a guy then in boarding school, and my head was burning, seriously I had killed this guy in my head 20 times, in  5 minutes, in 20 different methods, my whole thoughts was about how to make this guy feel bad. But then that evening he came over with a well ***conked *** garri, and said,” John am sorry na, aya come chop”. Trust me when I say I was healed.
we think sickness is only when we have headache or other obvious ailments but then sickness is a deviation from the normal state of health and there is no such deviation worse than anger in fact it ignites a lot of other health issues like: headache, severe fever and even heart attack, health personnel’s will tell you, “an angry man is liable to die young”, an apology helps in preserving a person from the health damages caused by anger so next time you annoy someone think about this.
Now am going to be listing some other reasons why we should take apology seriously apart from the already explaining “healing power”.

Relief.
Say “I’m sorry” for you as much as for others. You’ll feel better. I promise. Even if your apology falls on deaf ears, you’ll know you did the right thing—and sometimes that’s all that counts.

Builds R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
Relationships are built on respect, and saying “I’m sorry” shows that you respect another person’s feelings.
Apologizing restores what you took away from the other person when you wronged them–THEIR self worth and power.

The person you've wronged will most likely feel better physically and emotionally when you apologize.
In fact, research shows that those who receive a sincere apology exhibit lowered blood pressure and heart rater after receiving one.

Setting a positive example.
When you apologize, you set a positive example and others will be more willing to admit their mistakes and apologize when they’re in the wrong.

Your relationships will grow closer due to this deeper level of self disclosure.
It’s easy to talk about things when you’re right, but when you admit your mistakes and flaws, you demonstrate a deeper level of trust in and caring for the other person.

Apologizing provides justice to the other party.
When they remain feeling wronged, they remain angry and focused on the past. An apology can allow the other party to let go of anger and move forward.

Showing your flaws and vulnerability by apologizing will make you a more likable person.
People don’t like or trust “perfect” people. When you apologize, you admit and reveal your likable imperfection.

It gets easier.
Saying “I’m sorry” is just like your time your first time on facebook. It gets more comfortable and familiar the more you practice it.

Once you've apologized, you’ll no longer seem like a threat to the other party.
When you've wronged someone, they’ll constantly be on guard for the next attack. When you apologize, it often helps bring their guard back down.

Saying “I’m sorry” is a learned behavior, and it takes time and practice just like everything else. Best of all, showing empathy and compassion for the people around you bolsters your path to being the best “you” that you can be.

MOTHER'S DAY

If I could be as good a mom as you,
My loving heart would make my family glad.
I’d be a good example in all I do;
I’d give my all, give everything I had.

If I could be as good a mom as you,
I’d make each day for family a pleasure.
I’d use my energy, my love, my gifts,
Creating memories they would always treasure.

If I could be as good a mom as you,
I’d teach my kids the right from the wrong.
I’d sit up with them, throughout the night
Telling stories with lessons to learn.

If I could be as good a mom as you,
I’d always be there to correct with care.
I’d share the importance of living for God.
Teaching my home to know His ways.

You scrub my hands, you scrub my nose
you scrub the space between my toes
you scrub the floor, you scrub the cloths
The toilet you still find time to scrub that too

You scrub so much, i wonder if it's fun
But then you sigh, "its's never well done"
so now dear mother, i'm your new scrub
Just use this scrub, leave the sponge and soap

You are my mother, i am your child
You are my quiet place, i am your wild
You are my calm face, i am your giggle
You are my wide-awake, i am your bedtime

I must have taken your presence for granted
but the truth remains that i seek your face
when ever i'm scared or feel alone.
It works like magic but then you always appear

You’ve done so much I never could repay;
I love you, Mom. Happy Mothers’ Day!

LIVING THE GIVING LIFE

Life is a mystery, today you could be up and tomorrow you are down, you can’t be too sure what happens. This makes me think seriously about the adage, “ Be nice to people on your way up, because you'll meet them on your way down”, now Question= why is this important? Answer= because probably on your way down they could hold you from falling and drag you back up.

I know a wealth man that lost his wealth after a couple of misfortunes, It went to an extent he had to sell his properties to pay up his debts and feed his family, and just when he began thinking all hope was lost, some guys he sponsored for their travel abroad while things were moving well with him heard about what happened and rushed to his aid, within few months he was well established again.
Now think about thisπŸ™πŸ™, what if he was all about himself and his family then, who would have helped him up again?

Giving to people is one of the highest levels of investment one can make (I would say it’s the highest), the little cash you gave that guy for lunch could bring you back loads of good returns in the future, just like these ponzi schemes all over the place now, only this one is more reliable πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Some other benefits of being a giver apart from receiving back include:

Self-esteem

Research has shown that people who give to others feel good about themselves, adding to their level of self-esteem and self-confidence. Giving to others supports your feelings of self-worth.
Life satisfaction
People who give to others are generally more satisfied with their own situation and life than those who don’t. Givers seem better able to cope with problems and difficulties in their own lives, maybe because they have a good understanding of how many people are worse off than they are. Helping others gives meaning to your life and helps to make life worthwhile. While you are thinking about another person, you aren't dwelling on your own problems, so you lower your stress levels.
Feel good
People who are happy to give to others are generally healthier and don’t suffer from anxiety and depression to the same extent as others. It seems that, contrary to popular belief, we don’t feel good by what we get; we feel good because of what we give. The reason for this phenomenon is that it isn't possible to feel those negative emotions when we are engaged in kind and compassionate deeds.

Mama Julie (My pastor’s wife) would always say we need each other, how true
I have decided to live this giving life, now you don’t really need to be the richest to live this kind of life, there are various forms of giving which we need to develop from today.

They include:

Money – A little financial help you render could save a soul

Time – Volunteering your time is a great way of giving to others; you are giving of yourself. Sometimes people just need someone to listen to them.

Expertise – Teaching others what you know

Random Acts of Kindness – Little things that you do for people in your life or total strangers, often without their knowledge, that will brighten their day.

Smile – The cheapest and simplest gift you can give another human being is a smile. It shows that another person acknowledges them and brightens the day of both the giver and receiver.

This is a call to those that want to make giving their life, sow it as a seed, givers never lack, to those already living this amazing life, keep it up, you will by no means lose your reward.

Now notice that I said “Living the giving life”, Giving is not an act rather it is a lifestyle, scripture says in Ecclesiastes 11:6, "In the morning sow your seed,
And in the evening do not withhold your hand;
For you do not know which will prosper,
Either this or that,
Or whether both alike will be good."

I HAVE IT ALL TO LIVE FOR

Give me a reason not to live
when men and women will stand by me
in times of struggle
in times of lack
they make me feel like all is right

If i had to make just one wish today
I pray that God will be with them
when times are hard
when hope is lost
May they begin to shine their light

The future is bright oh yes i see
we will take over the world together
wherever we are
and even beyond
there are no limits to what we'll achieve

BEING YOUR OWN BOSS

It gets to a point when we need to make changes relating to everything that concerns our life. Unfortunately, a good majority of us have settled (un)comfortably in our old habits and will find ourselves feeling just slightly more powerless against our ability to slay the dragons that stand between us and our best self. If you’re like me and want to take charge and be your boss from now on, sit tight and enjoy the ride.

MAKING HER FALL FOR YOU

Keep it cool : Let the relationship develop at its own pace. Coming on too strong early will almost certainly creep her out. Gradually get stronger feelings for her as you go on with the relationship together.

You'd need to be bold : Most girls like people with confidence, not an ego. Just walk up to her and say what you wanna say. Don't just start beating about the bush clueless.
  • "Hi, my name is [John]. You look like you're interesting to talk to. Do you mind if I steal a couple minutes of your time?"

BRINGING YOUR MARRIAGE TO A PLACE OF HEALING

He had a deadline to beat. So he came home late when his family was asleep. He went into the kitchen, warmed up his dinner that the wife had cooked. Rice with beef stew. In a few minutes he was done and went to sleep, exhausted.
In the morning, he and his wife got up. After the shower, wearing robes, it was time to prepare for the day.
"You think I am your house help? What is this? How many times must I tell you to never leave utensils unwashed? I wake up to an unwashed plate in the kitchen sink. Can't you even wash after yourself? Must I always clean up after you? Are you a baby? And you used my favorite plate that I keep for visitors, can't you even use the many other plates I bought? Agrrrr you've ruined my morning. I am so sick of being married to a man who can't even follow simple instructions" his wife shouted at him.

IF YOU LIVE FOR MONEY, ITS TIME TO GET A LIFE

It’s easy to know how well you did in school or even at work. But how do you grade success in life?
In school we receive grades and at work we get performance reviews. But life isn't quite that simple. We may ask ourselves: “Do I have more good days or bad days? Am I doing better today than yesterday? Do I give more than I take? Am I doing better or worse than others?”

DARE TO THINK

The human brain is almost as mystifying as the earth itself, we hardly know anything about what it really can do, but yet it controls our existence and our future too, exploration of our brain is as important as anything... i watched a movie ( Lucy directed by "Luc Besson") she got to use 100% brain and had the ability of true telepathy, mind control, healing and could even see through things at the end she became invisible, but thats fiction what am i saying, but then i got to wonder how is it that through out our lives we use just 10% of our brains, what happens when we use the whole of it 😩😩😩

IT’S AMAZING WHAT I KNOW

The best thing that could happen to you is discovering that you are not just an ordinary human and get the revelation that you are extra-ordinary.

Extra-ordinary people do not necessarily mean  rich people, They are those that live their lives impacting on the lives of other people around them, now you can be the wealthiest with no impact, you can also be the oldest with no impact,Methuselah in the bible lived 969 years but that is all we know about him,

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God.” (NKJV) I don’t know about you, but I have never had any success trying to boss someone around while attempting to trust them simultaneously.

Now notice that I said “Living the giving life”, Giving is not an act rather it is a lifestyle, scripture says in Ecclesiastes 11:6, "In the morning sow your seed,
And in the evening do not withhold your hand;
