MIND REBORN

There is a law in psychology that if you form a picture in your mind of what you would like to be, and you keep and hold that picture there long enough, you will soon become exactly as you have been thinking. —William James
Once upon a time there was a woman, about 30 years old, married with two children. Like many people, she had grown up in a home where she was constantly criticized and often treated unfairly by her parents. As a result, she developed deep feelings of inferiority and low self-esteem. She was negative and fearful, and had no confidence at all. She was shy and self-effacing, and did not consider herself to be particularly valuable or worthwhile. She felt that she was not really talented at anything. One day, as she was driving to the store, another car smashed into her. When she awoke, she was in the hospital with a mild concussion and complete memory loss. She could still speak, but she had no recollection of any part of her past life. She was a total amnesiac. At first, the doctors thought it would be temporary. But weeks passed and no trace of her memory returned. Her husband and children visited her daily, but she did not know them. This was such an unusual case that other doctors and specialists came to visit her as well, to test her and ask her questions about her condition.

Eventually, she went home, her memory a complete blank. Determined to understand what had happened to her, she began reading medical textbooks and studying in the specialized area of amnesia and memory loss. She met and spoke with specialists in this field. Eventually she wrote a paper on her condition. Not long afterward, she was invited to address a medical convention to deliver her paper, answer questions about her amnesia, and share her experiences and ideas on neurological functioning. During this period, something amazing happened. She became a new person completely. All the attention in the hospital and afterward made her feel valuable, important, and truly loved by her family. The attention and acclaim she received from members of the medical profession built her self-esteem and self-respect even higher. She became a genuinely positive, confident, outgoing woman, highly articulate, well informed, and very much in demand as a speaker and authority in the medical profession. All memory of her negative childhood had been wiped out. Her feelings of inferiority were wiped out as well. She became a new person. She changed her thinking and changed her life.

In case you are out there with a negative view about yourself, you don't need an accident to have a "RE-BORN MIND", i challenge you today... see yourself different, you will be amazed at how much your whole life will transform.

TOUCH OF LOVE (PART 1)

SYNOPSIS

His world tore apart when his fiancée called off the wedding without giving any explanation.
An act of kindness introduced him to another but will she be able to melt the ice-wall around his heart?

THE TOUCH OF LOVE
PART 1
A STORY WRITTEN BY KENT

The blue sky was clear and cloudless, an after effect of the rainstorm early that morning. Cool icy wind blew, hitting the skin with a firm grip. The street was empty. Different colors of houses lined both sides of the road. Some were decorated with palm trees, variety of flowers, plants, while others stood out with artworks on the walls and sculptures. He stopped the car outside the white house with a big black gate and honked thrice. He heard the sound of metal. The security guard in green and white uniform poked his head out. He was a short man in his mid-forties. He retreated into the compound and opened the gate.

“Good morning sir,” the man stood aside and waved.
He waved back in acknowledgement and drove in. He parked the silver Prado jeep alongside three other cars and killed the engine. He picked the black polythene bag on the front seat and alighted from the vehicle. He closed the door and locked it. He sneezed thrice and thought of a hot bath. It would chase the cold away he reasoned. He turned around and headed for the one storey building. A tall slim figure raced out of the ground floor flat towards him.
“Uncle Bassey, Uncle Bassey, welcome…” she tried to collect the bag in his hand, but he wouldn't let go.
“You can’t carry it. It is heavy. Thank you,” he tried to smile.
“Where did you go this morning? You left while it was raining.”
He kept on walking. is she now monitoring me?
“Did you go to work? I thought you hardly go to work on Saturdays, except when there is an emergency.”
He took a slight glance at her.
The dark skinned eighteen year old girl towered over him with an inch. Her slim frame looked athletic in the blue jeans and red short-sleeve blouse.
“Uncle Bassey, I think I will study Dentistry like you. You make a lot of money. You drive a very expensive car, you are living in a three bedroom posh apartment in Ikeja G.R.A, and you run your own dental clinic. How old are you? You are a rich young man.”
What in the world!
He halted and looked at her closely. Was that how she saw him, a rich young dentist with an expensive car and a posh apartment? It had not always been that way. One doesn’t become successful in a day.
“Young woman, you should really think about what you want to study. Do not use anybody’s success or failure as a yardstick.”

She beamed at him, white teeth, rosy cheek, dove eyes.
Was she even listening to him at all? “Chinyere!”
“Hmmm…” she blinked, all her thoughts cleared.
He shook his head. She had not heard a thing. He walked past her and stepped into the building. She ran after him.
“Uncle Bassey, how old are you?”
He grunted, “None of your business.”
She walked beside him, marching his speed with quick steps of her own, “Come on, we are neighbours. I am… I am like your sister.”
“You are not my sister,” he eyed her and went up the stairway.
“I know. How old are you?” she followed him.
“You are eighteen years old, add seventeen to that.”
She stopped and pondered. Her eyes widened with realization. Her hand flew to her mouth and her eyes turned pale. She bit at her lower lip and climbed the stairs to the first floor.
“You are like, almost… twice my age.”
He placed the bag on the floor and fished out the door key from the bunch of keys attached to the key-holder, “I am old enough to be your father.”
“You are not my father!” her dark eyes flashed with anger.
He caught a glimpse of her and opened the door. He lifted the bag and walked in, “Have a superb weekend.”
“Wait…”
He turned around.
“Can I come in?” her pleading eyes held his expressionless ones.
“No.”
She folded her arms across her bosom.
“Go home. You mum needs you.”
She eyed him, “My mum is sleeping.”
“Bye Chinyere,” he shut the door and locked it. He carried the bag into the kitchen and dropped it in the sink. It was a good thing that he had gone to the abattoir early that morning. He had been able to purchase different parts of goat meat, which he loved . He would be able to make enough soup and stew that would last him for a week or more.
His work at the dental clinic had taken a demanding turn due to the number of people that patronized the place. He was able to hire a doctor, a dentist by profession, who had been like a pillar of support for him in the past three months. He had also employed another nurse. The work load had taken a bad toll on the only nurse in the clinic. Now, she wasn’t alone again. While working at Lagos University Teaching Hospital a few years back, he had never thought he would set up his own clinic, although it had always been his dream. It was when his parents’ Calabar restaurant boomed and became a household name that the idea really came to life within him. He believed that before the year ran out, he would be able to set up another clinic in Abuja. If Jesus tarries, by the time he was forty; his dental clinics should be all over the country.
The door-bell rang. His thoughts faded. He turned off the tap at the sink and wiped his wet hands with a napkin hanging on the kitchen window. He hoped it wasn't Chinyere. She could be a pain in the ass at times. He wasn't expecting anyone that day. The only person that showed up at his place unannounced was his younger sister. If she was the one at the door, he would drive her away. He cannot stress and cook while someone else would devour the whole thing. She loved spending her weekends with him. It had become a routine after his fiancée broke up with him. His sister had taken care of him until he was emotionally ready to return to work. Those six months had been unbearable. If not for her, his apartment would have turned into a pigsty. Nevertheless, it didn't give her the right to raid his kitchen whenever she visited. He strode out of the kitchen and walked towards the front door. He peeped through the door hole and saw his neighbors daughter. His brows came together in a frown. He unlocked the door and opened it.
“What are you still doing here?” his stern voice didn't dissuade her.
“I want to stay with you.”
“Go home,” he glared at her.
“Uncle, please now,” her eyes became misty.
He hissed, took her by the hand and dragged her towards the stairway.
“Wait!”
He raced down the stairs, pulling her along. She tried to break free from his grip, but he tightened his hold on her. He halted outside her flat and pressed the the door bell.
“Let me go!”
He released her and pressed the bell again. The door flew open and a woman in her early forties stepped out.
“Chinyere, where have you been?”
The girl pouted, stamped her feet and went in.
“I have been looking for this girl…” the woman hissed and looked at him, “Good morning doctor.”
“Morning Madam,” he turned around and returned to his flat. He met two of his neighbors at his door. They lived directly opposite his flat. He groaned and looked heavenwards.
Oh God… not today.
“Good morning doctor,” they chorused.
“Morning,” he feigned a smile.
“Do you have salt?” the darker and taller one grinned.
“Me I need sugar,” the other squeaked.
He had left his door wide open. His neighbors daughter was responsible.
That girl.
He walked into his flat with gritted teeth and the ladies scurried after him.
“Men, I like coming to your flat. It is so organized,” she looked around her.
“Organized with class,” the darker one settled on a leather chair facing the 40’ flat screen LG television.
“Anyone that marries you is lucky…” the other danced around the room, touching and sniffing everything.
“Doctor Bassey, you live like a king,” she winked at him and parted her dark long legs. The purple mini skirt she was wearing barely covered her lumpy thighs. The matching lilac blouse barely covered her chest.
He looked away in disgust. He had no interest in women who lay all their cards out in the open like wares for sale.
“This is my dream house,” the other sat beside her friend and flashed him a smile. Her shorts which could hardly be called shorts was similar to a granny pantie, but tighter. Her red blouse could hardly carry her heavy chest. Everything was hanging out like over-ripe plantain.
Did he make a mistake by renting the flat? Since the day he moved in, his female neighbors had been after him like flies haughter wouldn't give him a breathing space and these ones wanted his attention at all cost. Heovering over faeces. His neighbors d could never date the likes of them.
Heaven forbid!
If his fiancée had not called off the wedding, he would have been happily married by now.
“Halima, Simisola, I am kind of busy right now.”
“Doctor…” Halima cooed, adjusted her blouse and ran her hands over her thighs in a slow motion.
Irritation crawled all over him. He turned away and clenched his teeth.
“Doctor Bassey…” Simisola got up, walked up to him and squeezed her heavy bosom. She smiled and blinked her fake long lashes.
He coughed and held the door knob. The girls exchanged glances and chuckled. They walked sluggishly and blew him kisses before stepping out of the apartment. He kicked the door shut with his leg and returned to the kitchen.
I should have been married by now. All this kind of nonsense would have been avoided. This is torture.
He turned on the tap at the sink and continued to clean the red meat. He switched his thoughts to the kind of soup he wanted to prepare that morning.

HARD WORK VS TALENT

Here’s Why Hard Work Beats Talent Every Time.. IMPORTANT!

You may think that success is only available to people who are naturally gifted or people who are ‘born lucky’. Many people say this of successful people, that they ‘got lucky’. It’s sometimes the case, but for the most part, it’s the result of very hard work. Getting to the top is not easy, but for now we have to work hard to achieve great things. There is a quote which explains why talent isn't the whole story. Talent means a natural tendency to be good at a particular thing. It can vary from person to person, but it generally means a ‘knack’ for something. Talent can be built and ‘grown’ with hard work, but it’s usually the natural sort of ‘gift’ for a particular thing. People who could be said to have ‘talent’ are people who have achieved greatness at their particular area of interest in life, people like for example Lionel Messi who is a very skillful soccer player. The subject of this post however, is to explain that talent isn't the whole story. Talent is the fuel for the fire, it will kick-start you towards success and make things easier to get going in the beginning but if you have someone who is very talented but doesn't work hard, and someone who is not talented but works really hard, the person who works hard is usually going to succeed more. Look at it this way, let’s say you have two people competing for a race. One person has come from a long line of successful, fast runners and has always excelled in sports and running throughout their life, they’re a natural and have great fast legs. Then look at another person, who does not come from a line of winners, but instead has worked hard from the start, always struggling but never given up. The second person although lacking in talent has a determination and drive like no other. He NEVER gives up and while the ‘natural talent’ might get up at 7 to train for the race, the other guy is getting up at 3 in the morning. He’s working HARDER and putting more effort and focus into the whole thing, and therefore he’s likely to beat the guy with talent. It’s a simple thing to understand really, if one guy’s getting up at 7, and the other at 3, the guy waking up at 3 to work on the skill of running in this example, has more time to train. They have more time to practice and improve, and when they’ve run the practice race 2-3 times, the other ‘naturally talented’ guy is only just waking up.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard

There are many people who although talented, have wasted their gifts and just not worked hard to support themselves. These types of people might be famous and well known, but in the long term and the bigger picture, fade into the background when really skillful and ‘hard working’ people come into the scene. It boils down to your work ethic and how much effort you’re willing to put into something. As many people know, with life, you get what you put into it, so if you've got something you’re aiming for, something you want to do, work hard and you’ll create your own talent. Talent is thought of as a gift for something.. A aptitude that’s a cut above the rest and lets the individual really excel at the task in question but talent doesn’t always come naturally. Sometimes, by working hard people can develop talent and what seems to be a gift is in fact just the result of working REALLY hard for a long time. Many famous people are famous not because they've hit ‘overnight success’ but because behind the scenes they've been working really hard.

Create your own talent by working hard!

The more work you put into something the more you’ll get out. If you want to become a really fit, athletic person then workout. Eat the right food and although you may not have a natural ‘talent’ or aptitude for it at first in time and with a focused amount of really hard work you’ll become a master. People will consider you talented but what’s really happened is that you've become a master through repetition, belief and hard work! It’s the best way to be because then you know that when you've ‘made it’ in whatever avenue of life you’re going down, it’s well deserved. You've fought your way to the top and now you can enjoy being a king! (Or queen).

BABIES UNIQUENESS

It's can not be denied that babies are designed for us to love them and protect them. Their smell, their look, their sounds, their cries....all designed to make us respond to them. Plus they are super unique...

They have incredible brains
During the first few years of life, an infant’s brain nearly triples in size. Not only is a baby’s brain going through a weight growth spurt, it’s filled with 100 billion neurons, able to soak up knowledge like a sponge. As your newborn develops into a toddler, you’ll see his super brain learn language, motion and emotion in a heck of a short time frame.
They’re easily amused
Take advantage of this time before your baby becomes a preteen. Simple things like making silly noises will get him laughing or kicking his legs.
They explore everything mouth-first
Touch is the first sense baby develops, and it’s very clever — especially in baby’s mouth. By one month of age, babies can get a mental picture of the things they've put in their mouths
They have adorable smiles
Babies start smiling at about two months old. And that will brighten up any bad day.
They grow exponentially
An eight-pound baby may have measured 20 inches at birth, but by the time he’s four months old, he’ll likely gain up to six pounds, as well as more than four inches.
By age six months, babies are typically double their birth weight, and by one
year, they’ll have tripled it!
They smell ridiculously good
New-baby smell should be bottled and sold as a pricey perfume.
They can make a mess and get away with it (sorta)
Have you ever seen photos of kids destroying things?  Whatever it is, they make a whole lot of messes. And even if baby draws with permanent marker all over your new white couch, you’ll forgive him pretty quickly.
They quickly teach themselves how to see
Baby’s vision will go through a lot of changes during the first month. Babies are born with peripheral vision, but they’ll have the ability to focus on specific things by one month.
They’re comedians
How many You Tube videos have you seen of babies doing funny things? Some of those videos have more views than our favorite stand-up comics’ clips.
They have impressive metabolismsAs hungry as you get, you probably don’t eat every two hours — and definitely not throughout the night. Babies can, and do — having about 12 meals a day in the first few weeks, even waking from sleep to do so. Don’t worry — baby will eventually space out those feedings. (And you’ll sleep more. I promise.)
 They’re chatterboxes
At infancy, he communicated primarily by crying, but by 24 months, a baby’s vocabulary may reach 50 words or more.
They turn adults into blubbering idiots
Put baby in front of almost any adult, and with one smile or coo, the grown-up will likely be reduced to baby talk. We’re not sure how babies hold such power over us, but Swedish scientists did find that smiles are contagious.
They can have dual personalities
One minute they’re smiling and giggling. The next they’re crying all over the place. Talk about mood swings!
They have super-strength
Babies learn how to grasp by three months, and once they have a hold of something, it can be difficult getting them to let go, especially if it’s the long hair of an innocent bystander (yowch!).
They get you some good luck
If you’re holding a cute baby, you just might find that you get away with more, like getting offered that last empty seat on the train.
 They work magic
Babies have the amazing ability to get into things you’d never have expected. Turn your back for a second and your incredible little infant has crawled into a wardrobe.
They get away with not having any manners
Anyone who’s not a baby would never be able to grab someone’s boob in public or fart without excusing herself. We already know that babies can practically get away with murder, but the stuff you’d never even _think _of attempting? Baby can do that.
They’re resilient
When they’re first starting to walk, babies take tumbles all the time. And sometimes you’ll be shocked at how he gets back up without so much as a tear.
They make your heart grow a thousand times bigger
Okay, so it’s corny. But doesn't having a kid make you feel even more love than you ever thought you were capable of?

(LADIES) WHY YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR POSTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

You bought some cute little shorts, they make your butt look big and they look nice on you and they don’t cover too much of your butt, so take pictures and post them online, because you want your followers to see you in them.

You've been working out, living that squat life and making sure your body is right. When you look in the mirror,  it’s evident you got it, so you take a bunch of pictures just so your followers can feel you too.

You don’t see anything wrong with displaying your body online, because it’s normal, everyone does it, everyone shows off their tits and butt right? It’s body positive, when you love the way you look you show others so they can love it too right?

Well

You’re adding yourself to the population of females who use the Internet to get the attention that they don’t get in real life. The group of females who compliment a man’s hormones by putting their body on display when bored. A list of females who are searching for love in the wrong places.

As a man, who plans on marrying a good God-fearing woman one day, that’s the last thing I want to see. That’s the last thing I want my nieces and nephews to see. I don’t want my future daughter to do the same, portraying herself in the same manner.

Why is it bad? Well if I have to explain to you why it’s bad, we’re in trouble, but here it is…

It’s degrading:
You’re advertising yourself a piece is meat and you’re showing people you have no self respect. You, as someone who’s doing it, may not see it as degrading, but trust me people with morals will tell you differently. You’re presenting yourself as bait for dogs. Men who look for easy women, something to poke. It’s not that bad? Yes it is, No man look at a half-naked picture and say dang ”  I would marry her, because she is a good woman”, “I would hit that,” or “I can get that” is usually what goes on in their thoughts. You might say well the problem is with him, he should definitely practice self-control but it’s hard for many men when temptation is there and not only that some of the temptations welcome him to give into it. There’s an issue on both sides.

It sends out the wrong message:
Putting yourself out like that doesn't give out a good message at all. It’s telling people that you’re easy and that you’re fine with being a product of sex and viewed by perverts. It’s taking away your value and branding you as “trashy”. Somehow along the way the things women used to wear in private for their husband is what they wear for Instagram and Facebook likes.  You may say, “Well it’s not my fault how they interpret it”. That’s like posing for playboy magazine and expecting the men who see it to see you in the same light as Michelle Obama. You may be the next Michelle Obama, but what the way you’re advertising yourself is making you the center of many men’s filthy imagination. It’s not your intentions most of the time, it’s what you present.

It’s looking for love and attention in all the wrong places:
Here’s a generalization that holds some truth. “You will not find too many women who were raised right by mothers that are good examples, or fathers who were present in their life doing these things. They know better than that and do better than that. Most of the women you see doing those things are women who were misguided, didn't receive proper attention and love in their early age.
Some say “I don’t do it for attention”, yes you do. Why else? Because you love yourself? Well if you did love yourself you wouldn't do that and you would stare at the mirror and tell yourself you love yourself. You don’t even look at your own pictures on line you posted it for others to see.  You seem to post revealing pictures for others to accept it and agree with you the way you see yourself and for others to compliment and help you boost your confidence – that is looking for attention.

I respect everyone – me saying I don’t respect girls with half naked pictures online is a lie, but I will say it’s hard for people in general to show  respect to someone who doesn't respect themselves. Respect has to be earned but is usually given freely by those who do have self-respect. Presenting yourself as someone who isn't worthy of love and to be treated like queen is selling yourself short. Men want women with class; they may entertain the ladies showing it all, but that’s not what they want to take home to mom. We don’t like what everyone else has seen and possibly what everyone had before us. Respect yourself ladies, it will attract the right things and the right man.

HOW TO ATTAIN MENTAL PEACE

What Is Peace of Mind?

Peace of mind is a state of mental and emotional calmness, with no worries, fears or stress. In this state, the mind is quiet, and you experience a sense of happiness and freedom.
Such peaceful moments are not so rare. You have experienced them in the past, at times when you were engaged in some kind of an absorbing or interesting activity. Here are a few examples:

  • Watching an entertaining movie or TV program.
  • Being in the company of someone you love.
  • Being absorbed in reading a book.
  • Lying on your bed.
  • On vacation, forgetting your work and day-to-day-life.
  • In deep asleep, when you are not aware of anything.

Such activities, and similar ones, take away the mind from its usual thoughts, worries and constant thinking, replacing them with inner peace. Usually, this state lasts for only a while, but we enjoy it while it lasts.
The question is, how to bring more peace of mind into our life, and more importantly, how to experience it in times of difficulties and ordeals.
You might also ask, whether it is possible to turn it into a habit, and enjoy it always and under all circumstances. Actually, there are a few things you can do to enjoy more peace in your life, and in time, you might gain the ability to experience it quite often.

Tips and Advice for Peace of Mind
  1. Minimize the time you spend on reading newspapers or watching the news on TV. Since most of the news are negative news, and you cannot do anything about them, why should you think about them and feel stressed and anxious?
  2. Stay away from negative conversations and from negative people. You don't want their thoughts and words to sink into your subconscious mind and affect your moods and state of mind.
  3. Don't hold grudges. Learn to forget and forgive. Nurturing ill feelings and grievances hurts you and causes lack of sleep.
  4. Don't be jealous of other people. Jealousy means that you have low self-esteem, and therefore, consider yourself inferior to other people. Jealousy and low self esteem, often, lead to lack of peace of mind.
  5. Accept what cannot be changed. This saves a lot of time, energy and worries. Every day, we face numerous inconveniences, irritations and situations that are beyond our control. If we can change them, that's fine, but this is not always possible. We must learn to put up with such things and accept them cheerfully.
  6. Don't dwell on the past. The past is not here anymore, so why think about it? Let bygones be gone. Forget the past and focus on the present moment. There is no need to evoke unpleasant memories and get immersed in them.
  7. Learn to be more patient and tolerant with family, friends, co-workers, employees, and everyone else.
  8. Don't take everything too personally. A certain degree of emotional and mental detachment is very helpful. On many occasions, it would be useful to inject a certain measure of detachment and non involvement. This would bring into your life more peace, harmony and common sense.
  9. Learn to focus your mind. When you can focus your mind, you can more easily reject worries and anxieties, refuse to think negative thoughts, and reduce the constant chatter of your mind.
  10. Meditation is not everyone's cup of tea, but if you have the time, and are willing to try it, even just a few minutes a day will make a difference in your life. You will become more peaceful, relaxed and happy.

Inner peace eventually, leads to external peace. By creating peace in your inner world, in your mind, you bring it into your external world, and into other people's lives.

WHY SHOULD YOU MANAGE YOUR 24 HOURS ?

Few months ago i wrote an article, which on how to effectively manage your time and i really hope it inspired a lot of people, if you haven't read it yet, its not too late go read it→ The time factor.
Now today am going to be talking more on the importance of time management, the goal is to stimulate a desire for time management, it should be said that too many us would say there is no time but practically waste most of their 24 hours (if not all), i wouldn't want anyone thinking this is bias on my part, but once you can't manage your time, you really can't manage anything else 😢.
What is time management?
It is a set of principles, practices, skills, tools and systems that help you use your time to accomplish what you want.

Why is time management important?

Time management is important for your personal life and career success. It teaches you how to manage your time effectively and make the most of it.
Here are a few of the reasons why it is so important, and how it can help you use and manage your time more advantageously:
1. Time is a special resource that you cannot store or save for later use. Everyone has the exact same amount of time each day. Time not well used cannot be retrieved.
2. Most people, feel like they have too much to do and not enough time. They blame lack of time for their poor finances, stress, bad relationships, and for not exercising their body.
Wise time management can help you find the time for what you desire, and for what you need to do.
3. You need time to get what you want out of life. If you wait for extra time to appear, you might lose the game of life. Through right time management, you can “create” the time you need, and not just wait for it to come. By planning your time wisely, you will have more time to do more things.
4. Time management will help you set up your priorities.
5. Time is limited to 24 hours a day, so plan your life wisely.
6. Time management helps you make conscious choices, so you can spend more of your time doing things that are important and valuable to you.
7. You can learn to find the time for the things that are important to you. Even a small amount of time once a day, or even once a week, will take you closer to your goals, and you will be surprised at the progress you make.
8. You become more productive using improved time management skills and tools, and can accomplish more with less effort and time. Time management can help you reduce wasted time and energy, help you become more creative and productive, and enable you to do the right thing at the right time. This will of course lead to more balance and fulfillment in your life.
9. Life today presents so many distractions, and therefore, it is very easy to lose time on unimportant activities. Ask yourself, is watching this or that TV program, reading this or that gossip or participating in a certain activity is going to add anything to your life. Is the time spent on a particular activity well spent, or is just a waste of time and energy?
10. Life puts in front of everyone so many choices each day, and the question is, do you follow what appears on your way, or do you consciously choose what you want to do? Do you allow external distractions to deter you from your goal, or do you use willpower and self discipline to walk toward your goal in a straight line, without wasting time and energy?
11. A certain degree of detachment and inner peace are useful in managing your time effectively. They help you avoid spending too much emotional and mental energy on what people say and think about you. They help you stay calm, despite distractions or difficulties, and this saves you a lot of time and energy, which you can spend on better and more rewarding activities.

There are many things you can do and tools to use to manage your time effectively. There is a lot of time wasted each day, which can be put to better uses. There are changes you can make, which will effectively increase the time you have at your disposal every day.
Among the many changes that you can make to manage your time, there is one that is important and easily available, and that is getting up early in the morning. Give up watching TV late at night and go to sleep a little earlier than usual. It will then be easier to wake up earlier.
To get rid of the feeling that you have much to do and not enough time, try to feel and to think, as if you have all the time in the world.
This kind of thinking would enable you to focus on what you are doing, without stress and strain.
Always plan your time well and don’t waste it on useless matters. Be careful not to procrastinate, and do everything in the best way you can, with focus and attention.
